Norbury Parish Church Bowling Club
(NPC Bowling Club).

The NPC Bowling Club was founded in 1930. Its 70 plus members range from juniors, aged 10 to 18, (a selection of whom is shown below, on the green )up to elderly people, some disabled. The club's playing season commences in April and finishes in September. In both summer and winter there are other social activities such as outings, meals and whist drives. The club members play in many local league games, and expert instruction by qualified people is available for juniors and adults.
Applications for new members are always welcome. Come and try the club, freely, for an afternoon. Advise the secretary, Mrs.Scholes, when you wish to come and discuss arrangements with her. Her details are shown later in this site.
To meet the requirements of the Stockport Metro. Councils' Sports Development which amongst other advantagees grants the club a 80% rates rebate, the NASC members joined to become registered with the Inland Revenues Community Amateur Sorts Clubs (CASC). Sports Development. The NASC registration certificate inumber is 01465.
The club a part of the Sports Development group of the SMBC and pays an annual fee for this.
The Cricket and Lacrosse club, and the bowling club work together for major items, otherwise they operate independently on items like structure and insurance.
These clubs are very friendly organisations and applications for membership will be made very welcome. The Lacrosse and Cricket for younger people and the bowling for somewhat older but it has a few youngsters and encourages more to join.
