Worsley Chess Club was formed in 2000.
We meet at Walkden Cricket Club, Harriet Street, Walkden, Manchester on Wednesdays at 7-30 p.m.
Current membership ranges from 8 to 80!
We run teams in the local chess leagues, organise an annual club championship and also play lots of social/friendly games between members.
Everyone is welcome, we are a friendly club and the playing strength of our members ranges from beginner to average club player, so no one should feel intimidated. Everyone should find a similar strength player.
Are you interested in chess? Did you play at school and enjoyed it? Do you play on the Internet and can hold your own? Are you now older in years and would like to play again? Do you play for another club and want extra games?
